GENERAL MANAGER, AIRPORT
City of Lloydminster - Lloydminster, SK
DUTIES:
The General Manager, Airport will report to the Director of Planning and Engineering Department within the City of Lloydminster. The main focus of this position is to build the Lloydminster Airport into a regional hub connecting Lloydminster to numerous strategic destinations.

Specific responsibilities include:
- Development of an Airport Master Plan and the establishment and management of short and long term capital improvement plans;
- Ensures compliance with City, Provincial and Federal regulations, policies and procedures including Airport Operations Manual/TP312 and Safety Management System;
- Setup and facilitate an Airport Advisory Committee made up from tenants, users and stakeholders;
- Maintain an effective working relationship with other key personnel, tenants, leaseholders, community groups, businesses, and related government agencies;
- Establish and maintain Airport SOPs;
- Develop a Communication strategy to create a better flow of information to stakeholders, tenants, Transport Canada and NavCanada;
- Create and manage Operational and Capital Budgets;
- Develop and implement strategies to increase flight traffic and passenger numbers;
- Provide guidance and direction for Airport staff;
- Prepare or ensure preparation of grant applications for Capital Projects;
- Investigate the viability of an Airport Authority and Board of Directors;
- Contribute to the airports marketing campaign, and advise on the development of advertising and promotional initiatives;

QUALIFICATIONS:
- University degree in Aviation, Business Management or equivalent field of studies.
- Five years Aviation Management experience
- Comprehensive knowledge, interpretation and application of licensing and regulatory requirements including Transport Canada, NavCanada, Environment Canada, and other regulatory requirements
- Experience with the development and promotion of airport facilities and funding programs relating to airport development
