Provincial Airlines is looking for a Lower Churchill Project Logistics Manager for our Goose Bay base. Working directly with the Lower Churchill Project’s (LCP) Travel Coordinator, the LCP Logistics Manager will be responsible for arranging and managing all air travel for LCP contractors in and out of Goose Bay.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Utilize PAL’s proprietary software known as Logi-pal on a daily basis to track LCP air travel and communicate any software issues to PAL’s internal software development team
• Develop and maintain LCP worker/contractor datasets within the system ensuring they are up to date and accurate
• Forecast travel plans and rotational schedules into the future and mitigate any conflicts or issues that arise in a timely manner
• Optimize travel plans for all LCP workers and find the most cost-efficient solutions
• Create passenger manifests for each flight
• Manage and respond to inquiries from LCP contractor travel representatives
• Arrange and coordinate ad hoc travel requests made by LCP contractors
• Document reasoning for any changes in travel plans so that it can be assessed by PAL/LCP senior management
• Communicate issues with the LCP Coordinator and contractor representatives such as delays, late passengers, no shows, etc.
• Determine optimal routings for the LCP dedicated charter on a week over week basis
• Update the LCP travel line with latest information on a daily basis

Qualifications:

• 2+ years’ experience in aviation, preferably in a flight following, dispatch or reservations role
• Excellent judgment and interpersonal skills
• Solid understanding of the mechanics of flight planning
• Ability to make informed decisions quickly and adapt to changing travel circumstances
• Comfortable working independently and ability to efficiently prioritize workload

The LCP Logistics Manager will work on a rotational basis. Rotation to be determined.
