Our Calgary Location is seeking experienced full-time Pre-Board Screening Agents to support our growing and diverse operations for full-time day shifts.
Responsibilities:
Traffic and taxi/shuttle monitoring.
Access Control for the facility/area.
Patrol inside and outside of all EFC Facilities via fixed post, foot, vehicle, and roving patrol.
Operate computers, radios, phones.
Ensure that the Facility’s Safety and Emergency Procedures are followed in response to Fire Alarms and other Site Emergencies.
Undertake site specific training, follow direction and guidance from Site Supervisor.
Demonstrate judgment, common sense and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents.
Observation, record keeping and report writing.
Detect or prevent thefts and vandalism as required.
Demonstrate an active interest in promoting safety consciousness in the workplace.
Ensure exceptional customer service and a pleasurable client experience.
Comply with and participate in the Company’s Health & Safety programs and Quality Systems.
Other duties as required.
Education/Training:
18 years of age or older with a High school diploma.
Previous security experience is an asset.
Qualifications/Experience:
Previous experience in the aviation industry in a similar role would be an asset.
First Aid and CPR would be an asset.
Canadian Citizen or a permanent resident as defined in the Immigration Act with an employment authorization document
Airport Security Clearance and Driver’s Abstract is required as a condition of employment.
Solicitor General Alberta Security Services License.
Have own transportation or access to public transit.
Able to identify colours, shapes, forms and features (e.g. X-Ray images)
A valid class 5 driver’s license is required – No Graduated Driver’s License permitted.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Meticulous Record Keeping, Report Writing, Observation skills.
Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
Able to work various weekday, evening and weekend shifts.
Able to stand and/or sit for an extended period of time.
Able to bend, squat or kneel to perform searches.
Able to reach above/below level of shoulders.
Able to work well under pressure.
Able to work with the public and deal with conflict resolution.
A positive and professional attitude.
Able to work within a structured and highly regulated environment.
Able to provide accurate written reports.
Highly motivated and able to work with minimal or no supervision.
