SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Include, but not limited to, the following minimum skills and qualifications:
*Successful completion of 2-3 year post secondary college or university program
*Minimum 5 years of practical airline experience and managerial/supervisory experience.
*Able to maintain Flight Attendant and Purser qualifications.
*Experience working with and interpreting collective agreements.
*Working knowledge of Word and Excel, Outlook, AIMS and PowerPoint.
*Adept at managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
*Demonstrated strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills.
*Must be willing to travel to all stations on a regular basis.
*Previous Flight Attendant experience considered an asset.
*Bilingual English/French or English/Inuktitut considered an asset.
*Ability to obtain and retain a Restricted Area Identity Card in accordance with the Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program regulated by Transport Canada.
*Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interested candidates should be able to perform the following duties and responsibilities:
*Oversee the day to day operation as it pertains to Cabin Safety & Inflight Services, identifying, reporting and assisting to correct issues of non-compliance to Cabin Safety.
*Liaise with the Manager on all relevant issues to ensure all Departmental policies and practices are maintained to the highest standard.
*Provide oversight and guidance to FA's in regards to job performance, conduct, appearance, attendance, punctuality and discipline.
*Liaise with HR and Payroll for FA related absences and return to work adjustments.
*Responsible for the ongoing development and direction of the Purser and Inflight Attendants.
*Ensuring customer service standards are maintained by performing regular inflight checks as below.
*Monitor daily operations through regular review of flight documents.
*Assist Flight Operations Q/A with audits and address findings within the time allocated.
*Liaise with Flight Attendants to address and resolve operational concerns.
*Responsible to liaise with Crew Scheduling to ensure the Collective Agreement is adhered to when managing the Flight Attendant assignments.
*Review and provide recommendations to Manage with respect to staffing levels on a monthly basis and be responsible for the recruitment of Flight Attendants.
*Analyze Line Reports to address and resolve administrative, payroll, crewing, labour/grievance and customer service issues.
*Responsible for the development and implementation of Inflight Service Standards Manual.
*Responsible to develop all non-regulatory training for the Inflight Services.
*Perform the duties in the Emergency Response Manual as outlined for Inflight Service.
*Participate in collective bargaining negotiations.
*Responsible for ensuring the Company Safety Program is adhered to with respect to SMS, training and monitoring AQD trending.
*Maintain service patterns, outlines, guidance and Company expectations through the IFS manual liaising with Catering Manager for service pattern and standards.
*Participate in the Company Uniform Committee Meetings.
*Oversee Payroll function as it pertains to Cabin Crew and develop process to hand over to Crew Scheduling.
*Participate in labour relations with respect to disciplinary/investigation meetings with Flight Attendants, grievance hearings, correspondence with the Union.
*Develop and deliver training outside regulatory required training (Purser, Service, etc.)
*Provide oversight to Inflight staff housing (food orders, operational issues, housing and the aircraft). Visit the bases on a regular basis.
*Assist in developing departmental budgets.
*Conduct a minimum of 15 inflight checks of cabin crew per year and provide the Operations Manager with the total completed each quarter 1 Apr., 1 July, 1 Oct., 15 Dec., by including in agenda for appropriate bi-weekly Flight Operations meeting.
*Other duties as required.
