Ryanair, Europe’s largest low fares airline with 86m customers per annum, a fleet of 300 aircraft and an order to purchase a further 180 Boeing aircraft over the next five years, is recruiting a Sales & Marketing Manager - Spain to be located at our offices at Airside Business Park, Swords. The Sales & Marketing Manager will report to the Head of Sales and Marketing.
Duties include:
- Increase passenger volumes & drive sales across Spain & Portugal.
- Deliver national & regional promotions within Spain & Portugal.
- Deliver big brand partnerships and topical advertisements.
- Identify worthwhile sponsorship opportunities.
- Ensure that key Ryanair messages are loud & clear in co-operation with Head of Sales & Marketing & Head of Communications.
- Manage & develop Sales Executives and ensure that they deliver set targets.
- Initiate & deliver a prepared programme of Sales, Marketing & PR activities for new routes & bases such that commercial targets for launches are met & exceeded.
- Maximise output of our PR Agency & the Sales & Marketing Departments at our airports.
- Arrange & hold weekly press conferences highlighting the importance of Ryanair to the region (extensive travelling involved).
- Market intelligence; ensuring that you (and your team) are up to date on all relevant market issues.
- Identify, develop and grow relationships with the media in both Spanish and Portuguese markets.
- Liaise & meet with tourist boards & relevant government departments to add value to our Sales & Marketing Planning.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Commercial focus and sales drive with a proven track record of success.
- Strong knowledge of the political and economic situation in the region.
- Fluent verbal and written English and Spanish are essential. Speaking Portuguese would be an advantage.
- Confident and upbeat personality.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Experience in dealing with the media.
