The Vancouver Airport Authority has an opportunity for a permanent, full-time Coordinator, Sales & Marketing in the Commercial Services Department.  Reporting to the Manager, Retail Sales & Service Programs, the successful candidate will perform marketing and sales functions for YVR’s concession program.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing the day-to-day operational functions of airport tenants by regularly meeting with them
• Meeting with tenants to review promotional activities, as well as, coordinate marketing and launch schedules for events and promotions
• Managing secured supply chain program
• Generating and providing tenants with weekly and seasonal flight schedules
• Reviewing sales performance, identifying trends and evaluating opportunities to improve tenant sales performance
• Calling on new potential corporate accounts for YVR services and generating new accounts
• Providing client management for existing and new accounts
• Managing Mystery Shoppers’ Program

Key qualifications include:

• Completion of at least a two or three year certificate or diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales or Operations
• Demonstrated experience in tenant relations; experience in an airport setting an asset
• High level of proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word
• Fluency in English; second language an asset
• Excellent business acumen and business writing skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and demanding environment
• Proven customer service, negotiation and problem solving skills
• Knowledge of basic finance in order to interpret reports
• Knowledge and experience in performing outside sales functions
