Reporting to the Manager, Creative Services, this role will be responsible for assisting in developing, maintaining and executing the overall digital strategy for Toronto Pearson’s multiple digital properties, including all internal and external GTAA web environments (intranet, extranet and internet) as well as social media channels and other tools both currently in use and those implemented in the future.
The incumbent will lead projects and the day-to-day activities relating to digital communications in concert with the Web Content Editor, including the creation or editing of digital campaigns for all channels including multimedia components for internal (GTAA) clients and in conjunction with external partners, such as airlines, concessions or other airport tenants and partners. Working with the Digital Information Solutions team, the candidate will explore new features and enhancements for all digital properties that align with the company’s overall objectives and strategy.

Job Description Key Accountabilities:
- Assist with developing and maintaining an overall digital strategy for Toronto Pearson, including voice, tone and channel requirements/responsibilities/
- Develop and execute/oversee digital campaigns for a range of internal and (on occasion) external clients
- Develop and maintain a digital editorial calendar, including internal and external campaigns.
- Create regular reports related to metrics of ongoing campaigns and general uptake of digital properties
- Assists with updating site creative and monitoring testing initiatives
- Supports Search Engine Optimization, Search Engine Marketing and web accessibility
- Supports team with additional projects including competitive tracking, data analysis and operational projects and may include access to confidential information relating to content affecting personnel and budget items
- Identifies new opportunities to grow online communications efforts and run on-boarding process for new programs including implementation
- Provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders as the corporate centre of excellence for digital strategy for the GTAA
- Maintenance of Torontopearson.com, Torontopearson.com mobile, GTAA Portal (intranet), FESTI.ca, Toronto Pearson APP from a content standpoint and ensuring continuous reliability of these channels, working in partnership with Information Technology to deliver on the latter.
- Provide advice and direction to a wide range of clients seeking to communicate through any of the aforementioned channels
- In partnership with the GTAA Communications team, provide advice and execution support for social media content delivered through Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, Instagram.
- Provide analytics proactively and as requested for Torontopearson.com, GTAA Portal (intranet) social media channels through the use of tools such as Google Analytics and Sysomos.
- Potential for on call work when required
Job Requirements Qualifications:
- The successful candidate must possess at minimum a College diploma in Communications, Journalism, English, or in Web Development.
- He/she must have a minimum of three (3) years of similar work experience – agency or corporate environment – with a specific focus on digital content management.
- He/she must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the field of digital communications.
- He/she must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in writing for the web and have demonstrated experience in the use of Social Network tools such as Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to promote business objectives
- Related industry experience in the fields of aviation or airport management would be considered an asset.
- The successful candidate must be able to obtain and retain confidential level Transport Canada Security Clearance.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- The successful candidate must have extensive knowledge of digital trends and be familiar with website backend development (i.e. database integration, eCommerce, utilizing web services, etc.).
- The incumbent must have experience in working with web analytics and web strategies as well as familiarity with SEO (search engine optimization) and web accessibility.
- He/she must have knowledge and the ability to utilize web interface programs such as: Content Management Systems, HTML, CSS, FrontPage and/or Dreamweaver. A solid understanding of relevant software (AdobeCSS) is preferred and knowledge of web issues surrounding user experience, accessibility and information architecture.
- Bilingual (French) work experience is considered a strong asset.
- The incumbent must have excellent editing and writing skills and will be meticulous about accuracy and grammar with a sound understanding of writing for the web and engaging various online audiences.
- He/she must have strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral, written and listening) and have excellent skills using MS Office. Further, he/she will be detail oriented, a team player accustomed to fast‐paced, collaborative environments with tight deadlines.
- The incumbent must have proven time management and prioritization skills with the ability to respond quickly to changing priorities.
