Job Title: Junior Human Resources Generalist Location: Toronto Pearson International Airport, Ontario (YYZ) Reports To: Human Resources Manager Start Date: ASAP
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide confidential secretarial and administrative support to the HR Manager and General Manager and team of Operational Managers.
- Provide administrative and HR knowledge, advice and encouragement to all staff and process all staff enquiries.
- Set up and maintain employee personnel files to the required standard ensuring records are up to date and readily available.
- Support the management team in arranging and documenting all communications to staff
- Process all new starter/leaver, increase/decrease in hours and salary or job title changes, complete necessary paperwork, update personnel database, issue employment contracts.
- Collate all necessary paperwork required for ID pass applications
- Provide one on one support to staff to alleviate any concerns and questions.
- Collate and action all internal and external mail on a daily basis.
- Coordinate ordering and issuing of car park passes for staff.
- Maintain continuous correspondence with airport authorities.
- Manage office equipment arranging for repair/maintenance as necessary
- Manage and coordinate stationery, water and vending machine supplies
- Manage hotel and meeting room reservations
Required Skills:
- Post secondary education in Business Administration/HR an asset
- Must be able to demonstrate min 1 year previous experience within a similar role
- Ability to work using own initiative and without supervision
- Excellent organizational planning and administrative skills and a good eye for detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with people at different levels and from different geographical and ethnic cultures
- Experience of working in a busy, sometimes high pressure environment
- Experience of dealing with work of a confidential and sensitive nature
- Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Packages
- Excellent telephone manner
