SunWing Travel is currently recruiting an Operational Planner, Flight Operations in Toronto, ON

Responsibilities
• Assisting the Training Planner with the planning of FCM initial, recurrent, foreign and upgrade line training, ground training and EPPT , including the creation of training pairings based on training needs as establish by the Manager, Training


• Assisting the Training Planner with the data entry of all training and providing back-up in the absence of the Training Planner
• Monitoring progress and dynamically adjusting schedules for FCMs undergoing line indoctrination to make optimal use of Training Captain/ACP resources
• Monitoring the execution of planned training and checks, and coordinating a recovery plan when training or check is not completed (e.g. due to schedule change, simulator availability, book-off)
• Coordinating additional training and/or check due to Flight Crew Member progress or performance, in consultation with Flight Operations Management
• Liaising with the Flight Operations Crew Records Coordinator to ensure all completed training is appropriately entered in the system for crew qualification and future planning purposes
• Monitoring Flight Crew Member recency, and coordinating with Crew Scheduling, Crew Planning, and Flight Operations Management to prevent a FCM from de-qualifying or implementing a recovery plan (as required)
• In conjunction with other Crew Planning personnel, evaluating training planning with consideration for other FCM schedule demands to optimize resources and gain efficiencies
• Provide analysis and reports for training, as requested by the Manager, Crew Planning and additional tasks as assigned by the Manager, Crew Planning

Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years airline Crew scheduling or airline Crew Planning experience
• Understanding of government and regulatory requirements
• Ability to multi-task in a high-stress environment
• Excellent administrative skills, proven attention to detail, and a great team player 
• Superior organizational and time management skills with strong oral and written communication skills
• Computer software knowledge a must
• Flexibility and the ability to manage multiple priorities and comfortable following direction, with minimal supervision
• Able to work evenings and weekends when required
