Duties: 
The Manager, Community Relations is responsible for all aspects of community relations related to airspace changes undertaken by NAV CANADA. The Manager will work with NAV CANADA airspace design teams, airports, and other stakeholders to design, execute communications and consultation necessary when airspace changes impact noise exposure in communities surrounding airports and will manage these issues in consideration of best practices as well as regulatory and voluntary requirements while preserving the reputation of the company as an effective and responsible manager of the Canadian ANS.

Requirements:
Education:
University Degree in General Arts, Communications, Public Relations or a related field.
Language: 
Bilingual ( English and French)
Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in communications, stakeholder/community relations, public affairs or equivalent.
  • Experience working in high‑performance, multi-stakeholder teams.
  • Strong Knowledge of public consultation methods and community relations principles.
  • Proven ability to manage large scale projects with multiple stakeholders, handle multiple priorities and meet tight timelines.
  • Strong ability to understand technical details and convey complex information to non-technical audiences.
  • Highly motivated, adaptable and diplomatic with a demonstrated ability to thrive in a challenging, fast-paced and team-oriented/matrix environment.
  • Political acuity, tact, and diplomacy to understand, use and communicate specialized information to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Outstanding writing and interpersonal skills and strong listening skills
  • Strategic thinker and excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses
  • Strong organizational, project management and time management capabilities with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service, management and leadership skills
  • Strong problem solving and dispute resolution skills
  • Demonstrated decision making skills and ability in making sound judgment.
