RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide leadership
to Crew Schedulers on shift to ensure the safe and effective use of crew
resources for the completion of the flight schedule
• Enhance the crew
‘customer’ experience by maintaining a high level of customer service, with a
focus on efficiency, consistency, and open communication
• Ensure the timely
response to crew member enquiries and requests, including the request for
mutual swaps and pairing alterations
• Monitor and
proactively manage day-of operations issues and IROPs to minimize flight
delays, crew schedule disruptions, and costs
• Provide sound advice
to the Duty Manager to achieve operational continuity and efficiency
• Manage and maintain
legal/efficient Summer Deployed Operations and Winter Wet-lease Operations
• Track tail-swaps,
tech stops, and planned delays to ensure operational oversight
• On-the-job training
for new schedulers on Flight Operations policies, Procedures, Collective
Agreements, Government Regulations and Automated Tools (AIMS)
• Provide
recommendations for continuous improvement on Crew Scheduling related matters
• Ensure any
violations that may occur are cleared up and made legal in advance
• Manage scheduler
sick calls and re-staffing the position based on operational needs
• Additional tasks as
assigned by the Crew Scheduling Supervisor and/or Crew Scheduling Manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Previous experience
working in the airline industry an asset
• Demonstrated
commitment to customer service
• Demonstrated
leadership ability
• Exceptional
interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to adapt in
a fast paced, ever-changing environment while maintaining composure
• Strong analytical
skills with the ability to problem-solve
• Previous airline
operational experience required
• Must work shifts,
including midnights; 4 days on/4 days off
• Post-secondary
education considered an asset
• Must have, or have
the ability to obtain passport
