Senior Manager, Aviation Security

Reporting to IATA's Head for Aviation Security, the incumbent supports the delivery of IATA's global aviation security objectives, and contributes to the development of industry positions and strategies. Engages with member airlines, governments, international organizations and industry partners and provides input to IATA's Security Group (SEG) as well as supports other task forces and industry working groups. Supports the Head Aviation Security in development of risk-based security solutions, security information sharing, and Next Generation Aviation Security aimed at improving the overall aviation security best practices and standards. Contributes to the development and promotion of aviation security related products, publications, events, activities and projects. Responsibilities Develops and promotes concepts and solutions related to risk management including collection and analysis of information, methodologies of risk determination and potential response, risk resilience and dissemination of information to relevant stakeholders. Actively engages in identification and promotion of innovative solutions in the implementation of aviation security measures, including Next Generation Aviation Security concepts. Supports the development of aviation security standards through technical contribution to the IATA audit programs documentation and publications, in particular IOSA and ISAGO. Manages and coordinates the technical input of industry aviation security governance groups and taskforces as tasked. Liaise with external industry stakeholders, governmental and international entities with the objective of promoting IATA vision and projects in aviation security. Actively engages in content development of IATA aviation security related products, publications, events, activities and projects. Qualifications and Skills Degree in Aviation, Political Science, International Relations, Economics, Law or other related subject; Minimum 10 years of experience in the aviation security; Documented working/operational knowledge of civil aviation regulatory and operational frameworks, airline and/or airport security operations; Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to present publicly; Ability to travel and to perform under pressure and within variable working hours and schedules; Demonstrated skills to perform in a high-pressure, multicultural and international environment; Certification as aviation security auditor/inspector by national/regional or international recognized authorities; Successful completion of IATA Aviation Internal Auditor Course, IOSA Auditor Training Course, IOSA Airline Auditor Course, IATA Security Audit and Quality Control Course, ICAO AVSEC Professional Manager Course, or any other internationally recognized training and certification aviation courses. Fluency in written and spoken in English; knowledge of another foreign language would be an asset. Valid security clearance.
