WestJet Airlines is currently looking for a Corporate Recruiter with a passion for talent acquisition and recruitment in a high volume environment to join our team. WestJet Airlines' recruitment team is responsible for hiring all roles across the organization. In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with all lines of business and drive many of the key initiatives to contribute to WestJet's ongoing success.


Responsibilities:
  • Execute the  Talent and Attraction strategy at WestJet and WestJet Encore
  • Build strategic relationships with the business leaders and their community, influence decision-making, provide recommendations on and generate support for talent and attraction initiatives
  • Engage with the business leadership team to align hiring practices with strategic workforce planning objectives
  • Partner with hiring managers and act as a business advisor to ensure talent needs are met
  • Work closely with the recruitment managers, to enhance and improve  existing recruiting processes
  • Ensure consistent delivery of quality talent for frontline high volume and corporate positions
  • Pro-actively provide feedback on talent trends and key recruitment metrics
  • Partner with People Relations team and business leadership on talent and workforce planning
  • Employ a variety of methods including job postings, social media, networking, direct souring (cold calling) and referrals to identify top talent
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of top talent for various job profiles
  • Ensure that the recruitment process is in compliance with company policies and employment legislation
  • Be a key part of the delivery of initiatives including employment branding, student programs, referrals, internal and global mobility, and other channel sourcing initiatives
 Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years recent experience in a Corporate Recruitment role is required
  • At least 3 years' recent experience in high volume recruitment is required
  • Demonstrated ability to pro-actively deliver quality solutions in a fast paced and demanding work environment
  • Knowledge of business acumen and issues impacting labor market trends and their effect on the attraction and retention of talent
  • Knowledge and understanding of employment legislation
  • Proven track record of hiring top talent and ensuring a positive candidate experience
  • Excellent verbal  and written communication skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Experience with employment equity, diversity and new hire onboarding
  • Ability to collaborate, communicate, and influence Flexibility and agility to meet constantly changing demands of a global airline
  • Computer literacy with strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Solid experience with and understanding of Automated Tracking System (ATS) functionality
  • Fluency in a second language is required
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Travel as required
