Cathay Pacific Canada has an opportunity for a highly motivated team leader who can add value in a dynamic operational environment. The key objective of the role is to manage the day to day operation at the Toronto airport in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily activities to ensure a safe and efficient operation and prescribed customer service levels are met;
- Implement and maintain effective planning and allocation of resources;
- Lead a team of 28+ Customer Service Agents to ensure delivery of Cathay Pacific’s Service-Straight-From-The-Heart;
- Be a reference point of contact for suppliers and oversee their performance to ensure their services and products meet Cathay Pacific’s required standard;
- Support the Airport Services Manager by providing training and development to team members through role modelling, monitoring and on-the-job coaching;
- Evaluate cost implication when making day-to-day operational decisions;
- Represent the Airport Services Manager in airport-related activities and committees and develop and maintain good rapport with the Airport Authority, Customs and Immigration officials and other agencies;
- Take a lead role in implementing change and ensuring continuous improvement;
- Manage and handle irregular operations of varying scale;
- Take a leadership role in Emergency & Accident preparedness;
- Together with the other Airport Services Supervisors, take on special projects as assigned by the Airport Services Manager and provide appropriate support to the Management team.
- Other duties as required.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of international airline operational/supervisory experience;
- Demonstrated leadership and team development skills with ability to motivate a diverse multicultural team;
- Must possess good understanding of corporate commercial and financial objectives;
- Must possess excellent time management, planning and organization skills;
- Demonstrated excellent communication and decision-making abilities;
- Capable of developing action plans for managing irregular operations;
- Able to remain calm and composed in extremely stressful situations;
- Able to effectively engage with customers and suppliers in difficult situations;
- Able to deal effectively with employees at every level of the organization;
- Able to be creative and innovative for continuous improvement;
- Able to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends;
- Permanent legal right to live and work in Canada.
