Job Title - Aviation Manager Job Description We are currently recruiting for an aviation Fixed Based Operations Manager to manage our operation site in St. John’s, Newfoundland. This role reports to the Manager, Jet Sales and Operations. Responsibilities include: Duties specific to managing the facility and employees include: Operational and safety leadership to our Ramp Technicians and Flight Service Coordinators Manage staff training, employee work schedules and frequent staff / performance meetings People development and coaching to maintain strong team environment Maintain full compliance with all industry and regulatory operational standards including product and equipment quality, fuel handling, audits, environmental controls, and document controls Maintain strong environmental and emergency practices defined by the company Work collaboratively with local airport authority and other community stakeholders / partners Ensure and maintain back office functions are executed completely and accurately including inventory management and customer billings in ERP systems Enable team to deliver a superior customer service experience and develop long term customer relationships Support Sales and Marketing efforts including sales growth, acquisition, trade shows, conferences Deliver pride in operations - facility upkeep, equipment, uniforms, Manage operational budget and expense control activities Participate in regular meetings with manager and other site supervisors on performance and efficiencies in the environment Perform mid-year and year end reviews to all staff members FBO Manager will be required to perform regular daily duties as required: Marshalling in aircraft as well as typical ground services required by aircraft Responsible to refuel aircraft according to standard procedures Perform other duties as required to maintain and enhance FBO efficiency Experience & Qualifications: Minimum; Community College Certificate or equivalent work experience Aviation industry knowledge preferred. 5 years aviation management experience Knowledge of aviation standards including IATA and B836 Able to lead and motivate others Able to create, manage and adjust work schedules of employees to meet customer demand Excellent oral and written communications in English Responsible to work with minimal supervision Ability to make operational decisions Working conditions include: Airport FBO facility, indoors/outdoors Work schedule includes Monday-Friday, but flexible full-time work week Working knowledge of MS Office applications Excellent Customer Service skills #LI-HS1 Job Requirements - Work Experience Job Requirements - Education Location St. John's, NL For further information, or to apply, please click here |
