GardaWorld is currently hiring one temporary (1 year) Human Resources Coordinator to support the GardaWorld operation at the Calgary International Airport (YYC).
Position Description We are seeking a full-time Human Resources Coordinator on a one (1) year, temporary contract. Reporting to the General Manager, Administration, the Human Resources Coordinator assists with all local recruiting activities including, but not limited to, coordination and facilitation of job fairs, interviews, reference checks, administration and collaborates with other departments to ensure recruiting activities fulfill current and future operational requirements.
Major Accountabilities / Responsibilities includes, but are not limited to the following:
- Administration of applicant tracking system; resume vetting and updating profiles
- Coordinate and participate in recruitment testing events, including content delivery
- Support full-cycle recruiting based on workforce plans and operational needs
- Audit compliancy with document administration
- Liaise with Regional and Local Operations to support ongoing recruiting requirements

Hours of operation & shifts:
- Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm. Occasional flexibility to work hours outside of this time period is required.
- 40 hours per week
Requirements
- Must be a Canadian Citizen or a permanent resident as defined in the Immigration Act, with an employment authorization document
- Able to obtain a Transportation Security Clearance
- No previous criminal background for which a pardon has not been granted
- 18 years of age or older
- Proven experience of managing priorities and pressure while maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources or Business Management, or equivalent combination of related education and/or experience
- Experience using an applicant tracking system
- Must be comfortable with public speaking and presenting in front of medium-sized groups
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role
Skills and Proficiencies
- Excellent communication skills; fluent in written and oral English
- Must have at least intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (ex, Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to plan, schedule and execute tasks independently
- Proven ability to be highly organized in a fast-paced & deadline-oriented work environment
- Have a desire for service excellence and excellent customer service skills
- Attentive to detail and able to think creatively
- Be resourceful, reliable, independent and able to handle stress
- Capable to adapt with continuously changing objectives and methods
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Assets
- Experience with recruitment activities such as multi-level testing events (job fairs) and interviewing
- Experience in the airport environment: resources, security or operations
- Experience with SuccessFactors
- Experience with large scale recruiting events
- Experience with group presentations
- Experience in dealing with members of a unionized workforce
- Verbal French fluency
