Sunwing Travel is currently recruiting a Technical/e-Doc Administrator
OVERALL OBJECTIVE:
The Technical/e-Doc Administrator will be responsible for the activities within the Maintenance & Engineering Library to ensure manuals, publications and information bulletins provided, in hard-copy and electronically, are accessible and are maintained in the most current revision status for the use of maintenance personnel.
The Technical/e-Doc Administrator also acts as the administrator for Boeing Toolbox and SmarterU (web based training) portals. The role will report to the Quality Assurance Manager and will be located in Toronto, ON.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the M & E Library.
- Print, collate and distribute revisions to manuals and other documentation to designated manual holders and library users including Sunwing ACAs, Foreign ACAs, contracted AMOs, etc. as per requirements in MCM
- Track and control the distribution status of manuals and documents, issued to approved holders and locations, to ensure timely incorporation of amendments.
- Manage maintenance related data posted on Sunwing Ops website to ensure the information is current and accurate.
- Plan and order supplies, material and printing of documents.
- Monitor vendor websites including MyBoeingFleet, ToolBox, etc. to ensure provisioning of latest documents to internal and external library users.
- Perform a review of revision status of task cards, in coordination with Tech Support Engineers, to ensure timely approval of changes to manufacturer's data published in Technical manuals (AMM, IPC, Task Cards).
- Coordinate with QAM or designate on matters pertaining to effectivity and applicability of information available within the MyBoeingFleet ToolBox and Sunwing Ops website.
- Act as the M&E administrator for training posted within SmarterU web based training portal.
- Prepare and provide training to maintenance personnel on accessing and using services available within MyBoeingFleet Toolbox.
- Coordinate access rights and resolution of queries for all library users (internal as well as third party AMOs and deployed base personnel).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A college Diploma related to aviation or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a library in an airline or AMO environment.
- Previous leadership / administrative experience in a similar role would be an asset.
- A basic Knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulatory (CAR) requirements with respect to the provisioning of reference material and technical data would be an asset.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must be organized and detail-oriented.
- Background in Aviation maintenance terminology/ATA numbering system will be an asset.
- Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance databases will be an asset.
ENVIRONMENT AND SCOPE:
- Deadline oriented work environment having to review and update hard-copy & electronic manuals in a timely fashion.
- Works closely with Technical Support, Maintenance Planning and Aircraft Maintenance groups and must adapt to varying communication styles.
- Volume varies seasonally and may occasionally require after hours or early morning work to meet aircraft movement schedules.
- Able to work and share responsibilities within a team environment.
