Job Summary
If you are a low-time pilot with customer service experience looking to get a ‘foot in the door’ with a reputable aviation company, Summit Air has great opportunities for Pilots-in-Waiting at our base in Yellowknife, NT.
The role of load master performs duties similar to a flight attendant. You will be an integral part of the Summit Air team and will have the opportunity to work in a variety of key roles such as Flight Follower and Ramp Attendant for passenger and cargo aircraft. You can put your strong customer service skills to work and build your aviation career with us.

Responsibilities
• Marshals aircraft in ramp area, and tows aircraft on the ground
• Unloads and loads passenger baggage and cargo to/from aircraft
• Performs on-board duties as required, including enforcement of emergency and safety procedures
• Delivers exceptional pre-flight and in-flight customer service, as applicable
• Assists with aircraft grooming and washing
• De-ices aircraft and assists crew to prepare aircraft for departure
• Performs snow removal and aircraft de-icing duties, as required
• Assists with freight handling
• Performs additional tasks as assigned by the Ground Operations Supervisor
Requirements
• Holds current commercial pilot license (IATRA preferred)
• Previous experience in a customer service role
• Above average interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
• Ability to work with limited supervision
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position which include bending, climbing, and heavy lifting
• Must meet pre-employment drug & alcohol testing requirements
• Multi-IFR training is an asset
• Previous ramp or other job-site experience an asset
Work Conditions
• Working outside in all weather conditions
• Schedule includes evenings and weekends
• Must be eligible to work in Canada, and currently residing in Canada
