Concession Leasing Representative – Commercial Services Department

Description
The Vancouver Airport Authority has a permanent, full-time opportunity for a Concession Leasing Representative in the Commercial Services Department. 

Key responsibilities include:
·         Coordinating all aspects of negotiated draft lease composition, including ensuring tenant design and fit-out are completed on schedule
·         Preparing Request for Proposals (RFPs) and participating in RFP evaluations; this will be achieved by:
·         Working closely with the Legal Department to ensure all information and business terms required in the various documents for a complete RFP package are accurately summarised 
·         Preparing negotiated lease terms into a format that is legible for the Legal Department to draft the legal agreement
·         Monitoring tenant design, fit-out and construction
·         Writing a Commercial Lease Analysis document which includes selection criteria plus financial analysis recommending leading proponents from RFP submissions
·         Co-ordinate in the issuance of Supplemental Agreements for changes in business terms and conditions
·         Monitoring general compliance with leasing agreements
·         Participating in ad-hoc financial analyses of performance, trends and issues affecting current business
·         Having the versatility to prepare the annual revenue budget for the Commercial Services department and monthly statistical report if required


Key qualifications include:
·         Bachelor’s degree in business (specialization in finance preferred) or equivalent experience and training; MBA or CFA designation is considered an asset
·         Strong financial analysis skills and familiarity with business pro-forma
·         Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
·         Solid problem solving skills
·         Preferable exposure in business/retail property management, preferably in a retail environment
·         Having participate in some form of business negotiation
·         Exposure in dealing with tenant fit-out, including dealing with both new facilities and renovations to existing facilities, as well as ability to read design and construction drawings
·         Strong computer skills including word processing and creating Excel spreadsheets of financial modelling and benchmarking
