BCGA Awards & Scholarships

Since its inception, the BC General Aviation Association has promoted safe and responsible general aviation practices in British Columbia. The BC General Aviation Association continues to foster camaraderie between pilots throughout British Columbia through the sharing of ideas and experiences. When possible, the BCGA has worked together with other aviation related organizations to bring aviation stakeholders together. The BC Aviation Council is one such organization that BCGA is fortunate to be affiliated with, both BCGA and BCAC are committed to supporting aviation in British Columbia. It is with this common goal in mind that we are very excited to announce that the BC Aviation Council will be assisting the BC General Aviation Association in helping facilitate our Awards & Scholarships program.

The BC Aviation Council has a long and distinguished history of working with individuals and industry leaders to award scholarships and bursaries to deserving individuals. This year alone they will award over $20,000 to various scholarship winners. The BCGA has formed an alliance with the BC Aviation Council, to partner with them in awarding scholarships from funds donated by our BCGA members that have been specifically directed for this purpose. Any awards resulting from donations by BCGA members will have their winners selected by the BCGA Board of Directors.

All BCGA Members Eligible, membership is free 

• 3 Scholarships Available ($1000 Each)
• Members may nominate themselves
• Open to both Pilots & AMEs
• All members are eligible. Novice & experienced, not just for new students.
• Awards to be presented at the BC Aviation Council Silver Wings Banquet
