Airside Operations Technician

Magnum Management Inc. Chilliwack Airport – Chilliwack, BC

Responsible for air-side operations and maintenance, including airport operational inspections, enforcement of TC rules and regulations , SMS. Fuel ordering, purchases, receiving and testing all fuel in accordance with procedures, daily runway, taxiway, apron and lighting inspections. Completing all required reports. Maintaining all runway lights, signage, fencing and ground maintenance as required. Overseeing and enforcing YCW AVOP program. Responsible for the administration of all annual parking rentals.

Assisting in the general security of the Airport. Must maintain and enforce compliance with all airport regulations as required by Transport Canada.

Previous airside experience will be an asset. Applicants may require Radio Communications License, Wildlife Management certification, SMS certification, WHMIS, First Aid level 1, Valid BC drivers License, Able to obtain AVOP.

Skills-Good knowledge of business English, spelling, punctuation, able to do math calculations and computations; Good knowledge of business office practices and procedures; Able to use computers; Able to perform all assignments with a minimum of supervision; Able to be polite, courteous and diplomatic in dealing with the public; Able to operate and maintain a variety of mechanical equipment in a safe and effective manner; Must posses a strong safety mindset; Able to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with airport tenants, members of staff and public; Must posses strong interpersonal, communication, organization and execution skills. Applicants must be reliable, able to perform tasks which include physical labour.
