Advisor, Training Performance and Evaluation 

About the job 
Reporting to the Manager, Training and Certification Development, the Advisor, Training Performance and Evaluation is responsible for the analysis of training performance data, the development and implementation of training performance measurements, as well as the evaluation of CATSA training programs delivered at designated Canadian airports. The incumbent is also responsible for writing clear and concise reports, recommendations and presentations related to training programs.

The key responsibilities include: evaluating the effectiveness of the training; analyzing and interpreting data and information, summarizing findings in a meaningful business context and providing recommendations to improve operational planning; identifying and recommending ways to make training processes more effective and efficient using statistical analysis.

What you need to succeed 
To qualify for the position, you must have: 
  • Graduated from a recognized college or university with a specialization in Statistics, Economics, Business Administration, or Mathematics another speciality relevant to the duties of the position; 
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience conducting data analysis and evaluating any type of operational program; 
  • Demonstrated experience writing clear and concise reports, briefing materials, and presentations; 
  • Experience planning, organizing and coordinating program implementation, application and effectiveness; 
  • Strong knowledge of data analysis, data visualization, and statistical concepts; 
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint; 
  • Knowledge of software that can be used for data analysis, such as R, Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS), or Statistical Analysis System (SAS) will be considered an asset.

  • Strong ability to analyze data, synthesize information and recommend insightful solutions; 
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities; 
  • Ability to work independently and within a team; 
  • Ability to persuade and liaise effectively; 
  • Ability to synthesize and interpret complex concepts, and clearly communicate results to non-technical and business audiences both verbally and in writing; 
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
