Currently we are accepting applications for the position of Security Operations Manager at the Vancouver International Airport, reporting directly to the Operations Manager. Location Vancouver International Airport Job Functions In conjunction with Airport Authority create and implement various Security Plans in accordance with Transport Canada regulations In conjunction with Airport Authority assist in the in keeping the integrity of the Primary Security Line and in the implementation of changes In conjunction with various external stakeholders conduct sterile sweeps of within the Restricted Area, ensuring all areas are in accordance with various legislation specific to the aerodrome Act as the legislative expert for various external and internal departments Instruct and Examine the Aviation Security Course to all new and current employees with Securiguard, as per legislation Required Skills Understanding of the various legislative requirements set out by Transport Canada Ability to demonstrate Self Confidence and Assertiveness Ability to demonstrate multi-tasking Ability to analyze various pieces of information and take the appropriate action Ability to lecture, present and train both internal and external stakeholders Superior Customer Service Skills Proven Leadership Skills Ability to Problem Solve and use Sound Judgement Education Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent.
