We have a permanent, full-time opportunity for an Operations Analyst, Baggage . Reporting to the Manager, Baggage Operations, the successful candidate will provide program oversight for complex processes and technology associated with delivering the baggage product (i.e., inbound, transfer and outbound checked baggage) at YVR.
Key responsibilities include:
- Understanding the Baggage Operations Plan and business requirements in order to identify, analyze and document baggage data for reporting and functional planning
- Aligning with the Baggage Master Plan and Service Delivery model, as well as, understanding industry regulations and best practices to determine if efficiencies can be implemented at YVR
- For design and implementation of future projects, providing subject matter expertise to ensure all critical operational functional requirements and baggage processes are accounted for, documented and evaluated
- Coordinating and facilitating multiple components of baggage assets working with Operations, Ground Handlers, Airlines, Maintenance, Engineering, IT and other stakeholders
Key qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Science, Engineering or a related field, supplemented by at least five years’ recent, related experience working in an operational/process environment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience
- Demonstrated experience leading, directing and coordinating the activities of others in the provision of services in a safety critical, time sensitive work environment; this includes having strong conflict resolution and customer service delivery skills
- Strong oral, written and interpersonal skills with proven experience in report writing, documentation, meeting facilitation and delivering presentations
- Exemplary safety mindedness
- Well-developed analytical and critical thinking skills to assess and review multiple process flows
- Ability to understand business processes and document process flows with standard software tools
- Proficiency in MS Office products
- Good understanding of electrical/mechanical systems
- Possess a valid BC Class 5 driver’s license
