Air Canada Rouge, Air Canada’s vacation airline, is looking for talented people to join our exciting and continually growing team. SCOPE: 

Reporting to the Director, Brand & Customer Experience, the Internal Communications Manager will be responsible for the development and execution of all internal communications (including employee and internal corporate communications), leveraging Air Canada Rouge’s unique brand voice. Working closely with many different internal stakeholders, the Internal Communications Manager will also be a leading brand ambassador driving corporate culture through the ideation, management and implementation of employee engagement efforts.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Compose, edit and issue daily/weekly communications to our Rouge Crew (our name for our Flight Attendants)
  • Ideate, plan and implement events and initiatives tailored to further our unique internal culture
  • Develop internal communications tools and programs to further enhance our internal reach
  • Develop strategies to manage and improve the internal communications channels from a content perspective
  • Ensure a highly collaborative relationship with the employee communications and marketing teams at Air Canada and Air Canada Vacations
  • Support the senior executive team’s corporate communications needs
  • Participate in cross functional project teams where corporate and/or internal communications support is required
  • Collaborate with the HR department for internal communications content development and deployment
  • As a brand ambassador for Air Canada Rouge, help build and support the corporate culture
  • Support requests from Air Canada and Air Canada Vacations for displays, giveaway items, etc.
  • Support other initiatives as assigned
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: 
  • Degree in Communications, Marketing, or relevant field
  • 2+ years in a role involving writing employee and/or corporate communications within a corporation, ideally within the travel or hospitality/tourism/transportation sectors
  • Exceptional communications skills, including both written and verbal presentation
  • Bilingual capacity (English/French) is a definite asset
  • High degree of resiliency and personal integrity
  • Proven ability to develop and nurture strong collaborative relationships across departments and affiliated companies to maximize resources
  • Ability to work under pressure in order to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office required, InDesign/Photoshop an asset)
  • Positive, caring and inclusive mindset
  • A self-starter with an agile, entrepreneurial spirit who proactively identifies opportunities, initiatives and projects that create value
  • Efficient and very detail-oriented
  • A passion for travel and the travel industry
  • Travel may be required
