Job Summary
Establish roster plans staff of various departments and maximize man power utilization. This includes mapping business processes, identifying manpower requirements and conducting manpower studies for different departments within the organization. Reporting to the Resource Planning Manager, the Manpower Planner is empowered to manage work priority, develop job plans and engage the proper resources to develop a safe, effective and efficient work control plan.
Job Responsibilities
- Review all planned work schedules from assigned area and determine validity and accuracy of information and engage the appropriate resources to set a preliminary priority;
- Develops a preliminary workforce schedule by crew ensuring all skills requirement and resource availability is met;
- Actively participate in scheduling meeting with operation manager to finalize priority of work, optimum downtime windows, and necessary lead times;
- Follow up and communicate schedule to all resources: ramp, baggage, passenger service;
- Finalize the labor force schedules based on agreed plan with operation;
- Support and identify training needs and where required train, coach and mentor the team
- Be familiar with Worker’s Compensation rules pertaining to injury on the worksite, along with Swissport documentation requirements;
- Track and Monitor employee seniority lists;
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Competencies
- Excellent analytical skills including the ability to multitask and complete numerous tasks within deadlines
- Excellent communication skills in English (both oral & written)
- Must possess strong organizational and multi tasking skills
- MS excel and Outlook knowledge
- Customer focus and quality awareness
- Knowledge of ground handling operations is an asset
- Be able to work in a fast paced environment where accuracy and good employee relations are required.
- Able to work flexible hours (Weekends and Nights and Holidays)
