New Posting - Morning Star Air Express Inc

Morningstar Air Express Inc. is seeking a full-time Safety Data Analyst to join our safety management team. Reporting to our Director of Safety and Security, this position will perform an integral role in Morningstar’s Flight Data Monitoring program and will provide other support and analytical services to the company’s safety management systems. The position may also be cross-utilized to perform quality assurance functions as required.


Duties & Responsibilities:

- Responsible for analysis, interpretation and validation of operational flight data collected as part of Morningstar’s Flight Data Monitoring program.
- Coordinate the exchange of flight data information with other operational personnel as required in order to validate flight data and to investigate operational events.
- Generate analytical reports for input into Morningstar’s Flight Operations Quality Assurance Program.
- Perform periodic reviews of the aircraft-specific dataset parameters to ensure applicability and accuracy.
- Additional duties as required under the company’s Safety Management, Flight Data Monitoring, and/or Quality Assurance programs.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Degree or Diploma in aviation management and/or safety management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is required (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Working knowledge of aircraft flight operations is necessary.
- Experience working in an airline operations environment generating and analyzing data for management.
- Airline safety experience and knowledge of aviation safety management principles is preferred.
- Knowledge of the principles and concepts of quality assurance is an asset.
