Job Summary
Reporting to the People Services Manager YYC Division, the People Services Coordinator is a key position who facilitates a myriad of day to day general human resources staffing requirements in support of the smooth operation of our YYC Division. Workhours are generally five days a week with alternating weekends required.
General Job Duties:
- Scheduling and initiating employee payroll requirements including responding to pay inquiries
- Maintaining current HR files and databases
- Updating and maintaining employee records
- Provide basic advice on Employment Standards
- Serving as a point person for all new employee questions
- Completing termination/file review paperwork
- Maintain YYC Casual Employee List
Qualifications Required :
- HR or Administrative Professionals Certificate or equivalent (preferred) or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- Supervisory experience in a general HR environment is an asset
- Experience in coaching and mentoring employees is an asset
- Recent and relevant knowledge of industry HR policies and procedures
- Recent and relevant knowledge of payroll processing is an asset
- Basic knowledge of the Employment Standards Code of Alberta and the Alberta Human Rights Act
- In order to meet Transport Canada regulations must have a minimum of five years residency in Canada and legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Must have or be able to successfully pass a Transport Canada security clearance.
- Knowledge of Calgary International Airport operations an asset.
- Professional image with excellent customer service skills
- High level of English fluency for speaking, reading and writing
- Intermediate level of competency with MS Office.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Due to limited availability of public transit outside of normal workhours, including weekends, individual must have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to work in a high paced and dynamic environment.
