Gary Harris,
our course instructor (AIRC 1005-Air Nav & Air Traffic Services) wanted us
to comprehend the activities that go on around a real Air Traffic Control
facility.
So, on 17
November, Airport Operations Class 23 visited the NAV Canada Air Traffic Control (ATC) Facility at Surrey, BC. We
were able to see the classroom environment, simulator rooms, and Control Area
where Traffic Controllers were working on real time air traffic around YVR and
rescheduling delayed flights.
It was such an honor and amazing experience to
see and learn from such experienced Air Traffic Controllers.
