We have a permanent, full-time opportunity for a Manager, Land Development Leasing in the Cargo and Business Development (CBD) Department.  Reporting to the Director, Cargo and Business Development, the successful candidate will plan, propose and execute mixed use and standalone land development initiatives for YVR.
 

Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing the leasing of facilities on Sea Island, both renewals and new leases
  • Managing and growing the department’s current revenue stream generated through the Airport Authority’s non-terminal portfolio of land, buildings and concession agreements
  • Managing a portfolio of land and non-terminal buildings, identifying and elevating opportunities to the Director for review and, if approved, helping manage their development and implementation
  • Formulating sound business cases to procure the necessary funds, as well as managing sustaining and new capital projects
  • Maintaining open communication with the commercial real estate industry in order to remain current on market trends
  • Working with the hotel industry, developers and consultants to develop an Accommodation Strategy for Sea Island
  • Completing feasibility studies for commercial office and retail development projects
Key qualifications include:
  • At least 10 years’ experience in property management or the commercial brokerage industry, supplemented by a post-secondary education in Commerce, Finance or Urban Land Economics; or an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge in all areas of industrial, retail and office markets and product
  • Functional understanding of real estate financing and accounting, real estate appraisal, land development and project management; experience with financial modelling is an asset
  • Proven experience developing commercial agreements and facilities from inception to operation delivery
  • A background in finance and project modelling is an asset
