To provide all necessary and required baggage sortation support services as contracted by the customer to include but not be limited to loading, unloading baggage from conveyor belt systems and delivering baggage to different locations. Responsibilities and Duties Monitor the baggage sortation systems and standby for any assistance; Unload baggage from the belt systems whenever the system is not working; To clear any baggage conveyor belt jams and to ensure systems are running smoothly; Deliver passenger luggage to designated locations; Understand and follow the different conveyor system rules; Comply with all federal, state, municipal, airport authority and carrier security requirements Other duties as assigned Qualifications and Skills Able to work an average of 40 hours a week Able to complete full time training Able to lift heavy objects that could reach 70 pounds (32 kilograms) periodically Must be able to work in inclement weather Flexible to work on various shifts (days, evening, nights, weekends, and holidays) Must be a Canadian citizen, Permanent Resident or show proof of right to work in Canada Equal Employment Opportunity Statement Swissport as an equal opportunity employer bases its hiring decisions on the business need and the best qualified candidates available, and does not discriminate in its employment decisions on the basis of any protected category.
