Manager, Slot Coordination: Greater Toronto Airports Authority
Reporting to the Associate Director, Global Market Development this position is responsible for managing and ensuring the effective advanced allocation of runway capacity in alignment with the IATA Worldwide Scheduling Guidelines, the GTAA’s Mega Hub Strategy and with the priorities of the Global Hub Development team. The position will also oversee any future adjustments to the runway capacity to aligned with commercial and operational requirements to facilitate.
- For management non-unionized roles: (Responsible for being a customer centric Leader with respect to the Mission, Vision, Values and Beliefs)
- Managing Toronto Pearson International Airport’s advanced runway slot allocation process in compliance with the IATA Worldwide Scheduling Guidelines to maximize use of the runway facilities while meeting objectives of Hub Development and Mega Hub goals
- Design, develop and the manage the restricted hour exemption and overnight aircraft approval process, while tracking process to comply within the federal regulation and long-term planning
- Oversee the development and provide regular traffic profiling, schedule composition and other critical analysis/reports to allow for a clear understanding of runway capacity.
- Oversee scenario based analysis to design, inform and implement seasonal and future slot allocation considerations.
- Development and cultivation of key airport stakeholder relationships, along with providing guidance and insight on current industry landscape when require.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to achieve our growth strategy, along while engaging in meaningful relationships with air carriers that serve Toronto Pearson
- Represent the GTAA at all required IATA WSG meetings and conferences as required
- Drive strategic clarity by helping people understand how the work contributes to the overall vision

The salary for this management non-unionized position is competitive based on the successful candidate’s qualifications.
- Post-Secondary degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics or Aviation, Industrial Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3-5 years experience in business development, strategy, aviation or analytics
- Thrive both in collaborative team environments and working independently
- Demonstrated ability and drive to produce high-impact results
- Must be able to obtain and retain a Transportation Security Clearance and a Valid Passport
- Research & analytical mindset
- Experience in capacity and demand modelling & strategic thinking
- Experience with IATA Worldwide Scheduling Guidelines and an understanding of airport systems
- Partnership focused, ability to leverage relationships for mutual benefit
