Qualifications:
Canadian Citizen or Landed Immigrant (must be able to meet
Transport Canada Security Clearance Regulations)
Must be able to apply for, meet and maintain various Security
Clearance Regulations
Clean criminal record
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada with no stipulations
Valid driver’s license
High School Diploma/and or equivalent work experience
Ability to lift heavy objects on a continual basis
Capable of working outside in cold temperatures
Customer-friendly focused at all times
Problem solving skills
Excellent organization ability
Work efficiently with Computer systems; typing skills considered as
asset
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to work under stressful time constraint circumstances
Ability to work shift work including nights, weekends, statutory
holidays
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to multitask
Previous airport or cargo experience considered an asset
Responsibilities:
Management and tracking of cargo
Accepting cargo and ensuring it meets regulatory requirements
Building and breaking down of cargo loads
Airway bill creation, closing/signing off
Completing and verifying dangerous goods paper work
Operating forklifts/heavy machinery for cargo movement assistance
Preparing cargo for flights
Actively participate in the Company’s Safety Management Systems
program and demonstrate knowledge of employee responsibilities
regarding safety
Other duties as assigned
