Description:
Based in Kuujjuaq, Quebec, the Airport Manager is a key role in the Transportation Department for the Kativik Regional Government (KRG) responsible for the oversight of the Kuujjuaq airport operations and staff. The incumbent acts as a strategic business partner in transportation for the KRG, and the Kuujjuaq airport. As an active member of the Transportation Department Team, the Airport Manager works in partnership with the Director of Transportation as well as with federal government stakeholders; related to the operations and maintenance of the Kuujjuaq airport. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Transportation.
Who Can Apply: Applicants should possess a College Diploma in Airport Management, Airport Operations, or Post-Secondary Degree in Business Administration, Emergency Management, Technology Management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Should have two years of increasingly responsible experience in airport management, and experience providing technical and functional supervision over assigned personnel, considered an asset.
The successful candidate will have strong verbal and written communications skills, possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to maintain a high degree of tact and discretion, able to engage collaboratively and effectively with internal and external teams, clients and other associated stakeholders. He/She must have demonstrated initiative and a willingness to be a team player, be extremely reliable, and able to work independently and under pressure. He/She must possess knowledge of emergency management standards, industry regulations and best practices.

English is the working language although the ability to communicate effectively in French or Inuktitut would also be an asset.
Salary Range: Salary will be commensurate with education and experience and in accordance with the KRG Management Salary Grid.
Location: Kuujjuaq, Quebec
Duration: Two (2) year term position with possibility of extension.
