Airport Ramp Operations Manager
Southern Aero has a staff of 5-7 aircraft ramp attendants in Medicine Hat. We take care of the baggage handling, deicing, and other ramp services for the Westjet flights into YXH.
This position is to be the operations/base manager for our Medicine Hat operation.
It is a combination of admin work, ramp work, and basic equipment maintenance as required.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Work the ramp as a ramp attendant loading and unloading bags.
- Operate ground support equipment
- Provide basic security to people and property
- Direct people, drivers and flight crews on ramp area
- Aircraft grooming
- Scheduling
- Hiring and Training
Physical Requirements:
- Stepping up/down into cargo holds
- Lift baggage from ground level to waist and overhead while loading aircraft, up to 75lbs
- Bending and stooping to pick up tow bars and other equipment, up to 75 lbs
- Standing and walking for extended periods of time
- Good hand-eye coordination with good peripheral vision
