This is a 24/7 - 365 days per year position involving shift work.

 

Role Purpose:

Adhering to regulations and communicating with all stakeholder while ensure crew requirements are maintained for “day of” operations in a timely and effective manner while  

 

Job Description:

  • Answer the phone promptly demonstrating an ability to listen and empathize with crew members while ensuring a high level of internal guest satisfaction
  • Ensure schedule amendments are in compliance with Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARS), Commercial Air Service Standards (CASS), the Company Operations Manual (COM), the Flight Attendant Manual (FAM),
  • Monitor and mitigate Crew duty and rest violations
  • Answer the phone promptly demonstrating an ability to listen and empathize with crew members while ensuring a high level of internal guest satisfaction
  • Ensure implementation of IROP (irregular operations) contingency plans and required pairing modifications
  • Adhere to Flight Operations policies and Inflight Department policies as outlined in the COM, the FAM, the Crew Services Guidelines,
  • Ensure appropriate deadheading arrangements are made, confirmed and tracked for crews
  • Monitor and mitigate Crew duty and rest violations
  • Ensure schedule amendments are in compliance with Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARS), Commercial Air Service Standards (CASS), the Company Operations Manual (COM), the Flight Attendant Manual (FAM), CUPE Cabin Crew Collective Agreement and ALPA Pilot Collective Agreement.

  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1-year airline experience preferably in an operational role
  • Previous experience with flight crew schedules and CARS is an asset
  • Intermediate experience with SabreSonic, MS Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills with the capability of establishing respect and credibility through actions
  • High degree of motivation and commitment to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic and ever-changing environment
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and take responsibility for accomplishing routine tasks
  • Proven organizational, time management skills and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced, time-sensitive environment
  • Demonstrate a commitment to teamwork while contributing to a fun and friendly atmosphere
  • Be a positive role model, outwardly demonstrating WestJet values and key competencies
