Along with being the friendly face of check-in, your role will be to provide safe, efficient and accurate handling of baggage and cargo – as well as ensuring the safety of aircraft, equipment and your fellow teammates.

As a station attendant, you will be responsible for performing cargo and passenger services, including: loading & unloading baggage and cargo, equipment checks and fueling, marshalling aircraft in and out, ensuring compliance with Transport Canada and Air North safety regulations and policies are upheld, and regulatory submissions. This is an exciting, fast-paced, and time-critical place to be, right at the center of the action. A professional attitude and ability to work in a team environment are key.

Would you describe yourself as having:

  • The ability to work outside in all climatic conditions
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, split shifts, weekends, holidays, and irregular operations with little or no notice
  • A Safety conscious attitude
  • Computer literacy with ability to complete online training and recurrent training
  • Team player with effective English communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • A demonstrated passion for providing outstanding customer service by ensuring all baggage and cargo reach the right destination in a safe and timely manner
  • Most importantly, a good sense of humour and likes to have fun
  • Grade 12 High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must successfully complete an initial ramp training program
  • Be physically fit (able to lift up to 75 pounds and able to bend, kneel, crawl, stoop and climb repetitively)
  • Must have Class 5 Driver’s License and clean abstract
  • Must be a Canadian citizen, Permanent Resident or show proof of right to work in Canada
  • Must be available to work early mornings, evenings, split shifts, weekends, holidays and irregular operations with little or no notice
  • Must be able to obtain and retain an Airside Vehicle Operators Permit (AVOP) License
  • Previous airline experience would be considered an asset
