Flight Dispatcher
Executive Compass Flight Institute is a brand new modern flight school at Pitt Meadows Airport. The management staff at Compass Flight combined has over 20 years of experience in flight training units around the Lower Mainland.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring all dispatch duties are conducted in accordance with the Canadian Aviation Regulations.
- Reviewing and amending dispatch documentation and manuals as required. Flight dispatch (flight authorization and aircraft release).
- Flight following of aircraft and Invoicing of flights.
- Answering telephone calls
- Greet walk-in customers
- Ensuring the front desk is presentable.
- Ensuring all office supplies are adequately stocked.
- All other duties as assigned by Chief Flight Instructor and Director of Flight Operations
Skills & Abilities
- The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is a highly organized, numerically literate, analytical problem solver and able to prioritize multiple tasks effectively and concurrently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills Problem solver with the ability to work under pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite is a must-have including the use of Excel spreadsheets, including graphs, charts, and conditional formatting. Candidates with no prior aviation or aircraft dispatching experience may be considered if they are highly motivated and willing to learn.
Hours: From February to April, must be willing to work a schedule of 8-hour shifts for weekends and occasional weekdays. During the summer season, long hours from early morning to late night. Flexibility in working hours is essential.
