Flight Operations Coordinator

The Flight Operations Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the Flight Operations department schedules flight crew, arranges training and maintains records and documents in accordance with regulations and operations.  Scheduled full time Monday to Friday during regular business hours, this position works closely with Flight Operations Management and Crew Scheduling to coordinate and track training events and records as well as other administrative tasks essential to the Flight Operations department.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

• Coordinate the various simulator, on-line, and ground school initial and recurrent training courses for flight crew members, as well as monitoring progress to ensure completion.
• Ensure crew records (training documents, certifications, etc.) are monitored, tracked and updated on a daily basis.
• Extensive work within LMS systems to create/edit/distribute online training.
• Assist Crew Planning with creation of the monthly flight crew schedule as related to training requirements
• Monitor/collect/disseminate vendor access credentials/passwords, necessitating communication with various stakeholders
• Assist Flight Operations management with TSA approval for Flight Crew training.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• College Diploma or University Degree
• At least one year of direct work experience in an aviation environment, preferably in an operational role.
• Experience working with digital data management
• Proficient with Microsoft products, experience with SmarterU considered an asset
• Must have own transportation
