Our YVR branch is currently looking for an Operations Coordinator, Scheduling.

Location: Vancouver International Airport, Richmond

Start Date: Immediately

Main Purpose & Function

The Operations Coordinator, Scheduling in the YVR Branch of Securiguard Services provides administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team, primarily focused on scheduling operations. The Operations Coordinator, Scheduling will receive guidance and direction from the Manager, Aviation Security..

Responsibilities

  • Managing Scheduling Operations for Core services and providing support to the admin team
  • Scheduling of employees based on collective bargaining agreement, and federal labour standards.
  • Managing employee Payroll and reporting
  • Providing reporting on NBOT to the Senior Leadership Team
  • Being the first point of contact for employees and staff. Will ensure that all concerns & requests are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Managing employee information changes and general communications.
  • Processing Shift Trades, Time Off requests and managing vacation trackers
  • Managing Seniority List and development of Shift Bid Lines
  • Working closely with site supervisors/managers for staffing, uniforms, compliance, and supplies required for site.
  • Maintaining accurate, detail orientated record keeping and reporting.
  • Other administrative tasks may be assigned based on operational needs.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • 1+ years of scheduling and/or operations coordination experience
  • Post-secondary diploma in business administration, human resources, or other related fields will be an asset

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to use sound judgment and decision-making skills with a 'hands-on' problem-solving approach and ability to remain calm under pressure and take control of incidents.
  • Interpersonal skills to promote a supportive, respectful, and safe work environment.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to lift, push and pull heavy objects occasionally.
  • Experience dealing with unionized staff will be considered an asset.
  • Ability to communicate clearly to clients and staff; ability to effectively mediate and intervene in workplace, client, and staff issues.


Other Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain Transportation Security Clearance.

Proficiency using the following software:

  • MS - Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
