Canadian North is currently recruiting a Full-Time Customer Service Cargo Agent for the Yellowknife, Cargo Department.  (Competition No: CCSA0512)

Qualifications:
 Valid driver’s license
 Ability to lift heavy objects on a continual basis
 Excellent organizational skills
 Proven ability to take initiative and solve problems
 Customer friendly attitude at all times
 Proven communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment
 Clean criminal record
 Ability to work in a team environment
 Ability to work under stressful time constraint circumstances
 Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and shift work
 Strong interpersonal skills and ability to multitask
 High School Diploma/and or equivalent work experience
 Must be able to successfully complete Dangerous Goods Acceptance course
 Canadian Citizen or Landed Immigrant (must be able to meet Transport Canada Security Clearance Regulations)

Responsibilities:
 Actively participate in the Company’s Safety Management System program and demonstrate knowledge of employee responsibilities regarding safety
 Management and tracking of cargo
 Accepting cargo and ensuring it meets regulatory requirements
 Building and breaking down of cargo loads
 Airway bill creation, closing/signing off
 Completing and verifying dangerous goods paper work
 Operating forklifts/heavy machinery for cargo movement assistance
 Preparing cargo for flights
 Other duties as assigned
