Purpose of Position (Inflight Services Manager):

To provide day-to-day leadership and supervision to Flight Attendants to ensure the highest level of customer service. This position provides operational support to Inflight Service.

Key Responsibilities:
Flight Attendant Communication and Support:
•Ensure the safety, health and security of employees, customers and the general public.
•Follow-up on Inflight reports, questions and concerns in a timely manner.
•Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including some weekend and shift-work, to ensure sufficient office and operational coverage.
•On call support as required.
•Conduct regular ramp and crew room visits to maintain management visibility and accessibility to Flight Attendants.
•Operate as a Flight Attendant to maintain qualifications.
•Debrief, support and investigate work related incidents.
•Participate on any Inflight/Flight Attendant teams, as required.
•Provide the necessary resources and tools for employees to perform their duties.
•Demonstrate support and commitment to the diverse needs of employees.
•Communicate and bring meaning to department/corporate directions, objectives and communications in a timely manner.
•Create an open, honest and supportive work environment.
•Encourage ongoing teamwork in meetings, open dialogue, team challenges, and informal collective experiences.

Flight Attendant Performance:
•Monitor employees in all aspects of performance: Internal and External customer experience and service, compliance with safety and service procedures, uniform standards, company policies, etc. Coach and discipline, when necessary, ensuring all policies are applied consistently.
•Monitor employees in all aspects of performance as it relates to the collective agreement, coach and discipline when necessary ensuring all contract articles are applied consistently.
•Conduct Flight Attendant line assessments.
•Recognize and reward employees when appropriate.
•Monitor Flight Attendant absenteeism.

New Flight Attendants:
•Liaise with Corporate Development during initial classes.
•Participate in new hire line assessments.
•Monitor performance of probationary employees.
•Recruitment: Participate in Flight Attendant interviews and hiring.

Union Relations:
•Participate in Union/Management meetings, providing support and feedback, as required.
•Participate in the grievance process up to and including grievance hearings, when required.
•Maintain a full understanding of the union contract and apply articles consistently.

Inflight Service Manager Standards:
•Maintain a full understanding and compliance of the Inflight Service Manager manual.
•Liaise with Onboard Product to ensure superior customer service is provided.
•Support the budget process by managing to budget.
•Complete goals and objectives as assigned.
•Communicate regularly with Regional Manager, Inflight Service.
•Other related duties as assigned.
•Perform duties in accordance with established policies and procedures while giving primary consideration to personal safety, the safety of co-workers and customers.
