Air Canada, recently ranked SkyTrax’s Best Airline in North America, is seeking dynamic and enthusiastic individuals to fill permanent positions that are currently available for Customer Sales and Service Agents in our Call Centre.

Call Centre agents are often our customers’ first point of contact with our company, which makes this position of the utmost importance to our continued success. Air Canada’s customers expect our agents to answer promptly, while also being courteous, knowledgeable and professional. Our agents are proficient in identifying customer needs and matching them with our award-winning products and services. They provide accurate information and find sensible solutions.

Responsibilities
• Offer the highest level of customer service while providing customers with information regarding flights, fares, destinations, special offers and other travel products
• Use Air Canada’s in-house reservation system to make new flight reservations or to modify existing bookings
• Provide timely resolution to customer inquiries, including concerns and/or issues to ensure customer satisfaction
• Accurately obtain documents and confirm customer’s personal information for bookings
• Proactively explore and anticipate customer’s future needs by recommending our value-added services and products


Qualifications


Scheduling Adherence
• Must be available to attend and successfully pass a nine (9) week full-time training program
• Available to work a variety of day, evening & overnight shifts, as well as weekends and statutory holidays

Linguistic requirements
• This position requires linguistic fluency. Priority will be given to candidates completely fluent in English and French. 
• Candidates fluent in English, French and one or more of the following languages will also be considered: Japanese, Korean, Cantonese, Mandarin, Spanish, Italian, German, Arabic, Hebrew, Portuguese or Greek.

Position Requirements
• Customer service experience within a call centre environment and previous travel industry experience would be considered an asset 
• Ability to find creative solutions to complex customer situations
• Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision in a fast-paced environment, while effectively managing multiple tasks
• Working knowledge of computer applications and internet is an asset

Conditions of Employment:
• Must be able to work flexible shifts that include days, evenings, overnights, weekends and statutory holidays in a 24/7 operation.
• Eligible candidates must hold a high school leaving certificate, be a Canadian citizen (or have landed immigrate status)
