Based at the Vernon Airport, the Kal Aviation Dispatcher/Flight Operations Coordinator position is responsible for actioning flight requests from internal company travelers. Based on these requests, schedule company aircraft and follow through with all trip details related to corporate air travel.
Position Description:
- Receive travel request from Kal Tire Team Member's for flights, hotels, cars, meeting rooms etc. via online reservations system, phone or email.
- Schedule Kal Aviation Aircraft via PFM reservations system.
- Communicate with FBO's for arrival details, hangar, catering etc. (Generally electronically online)
- Communicate with Maintenance Team on any aircraft issues affecting flight operations and scheduling.
- Provide flight crew briefings of trip details and maintain consistent communication with crews.
- Assist flight crews with flight planning when required.
- Determine suitability for airports of proposed operation.
- Arrange fuel services and choose FBO locations at new destinations.
- Ensure that company aircraft and flight crews are scheduled in accordance with Flight and duty time restrictions as outlined in the Company Operations Manual.
- Monitor and track Kal Aviation Flights
- Ensure company aircraft are being used to maximum efficiency and within company travel policy.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- The ability to work effectively in a team and fast pace work environment.
- Strong customer service skills required
- Adaptable and proficient with various computer programs including , Outlook , Word and Excel.
- 2-3 years of dispatching/flight coordinating
- Knowledge of Aviation Regulations
- Transport Canada Dispatch Exams an asset but not required.
