Joining the Kenn Borek Air Ltd. worldwide team as Flight Operations Administrator, based in Calgary, you will perform a wide
variety of administrative support services, ranging from complex to routine.
With a genuine appreciation for and understanding of protocol and discretion,
you are able to accept and assume responsibility, and have the ability to
interpret and make decisions in accordance with prescribed procedures and
practices of the organization. The ability to interact with staff (at all
levels) in a fast paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining
flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of
professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to this role. Expert written and
verbal communication skills, strong decision making ability and attention to
detail are equally important.
You Will
(in summary):
• Coordinate the development and release of monthly
flight crew member rotational schedule for all bases dependent on
qualifications, aircraft type, experience and location ensuring all necessary
medical and paperwork for contract specific requirements and / or country of
destination has been met; updating each as operational requirements dictate;
ability to project impact of decisions taking into consideration the diverse
locations of aircraft and flight crew members to problem solve and schedule
effectively
• In conjunction with the rotational schedule for flight crew
members you will assist in maintaining a training schedule, revising on an as
needed basis, to effectively address all required flight crew training within
the published time frames. Working directly with the Chief pilot(s) 704 / 705,
provide additional support for such items as ferry flight permits, fuel
releases, trip kits, and memo release
• Source cost effective travel
options including such areas as recommended travel dates for cost reduction,
mode of transportation, accommodation options and other related travel needs for
all flight crew members
• Coordinating with the Training department, set
up all third party training as determined by the monthly training schedule.
Third party training would include but is not limited to simulator, first aid,
fire extinguisher
• Provide administrative support to managerial
positions within Flight Operations; procurement and release of various charts,
release and tracking of COM amendments, printing and distribution of Almanac /
RCAPS
• Knowledge of contractual obligations as to such areas as medical
requirements, licensing, passport, identified course requirements and all other
items such as Visa’s, restricted use / area clearances
• Responsible for
the timely application, receipt of and / or release of ferry flight permits,
fuel releases, trip kits and memo release
Your Experience Includes:
• Background
in flight operations an advantage – 1+ years
• Previous experience with
flight crew schedules and CARS is an asset
• Extensive knowledge of
geography
