Grooming Supervisor
Wednesday to Saturday Shift – 5 pm to 3 am

Reporting to the Maintenance Control Manager, the Grooming Supervisor is responsible for upholding the Vision and Values of the Company by delivering exceptional service in the area of planning, organization, and supervision of the overall grooming function in accordance with employment standards, company policies, guidelines and job SOP’s, while maintaining safety of employees and equipment at all times

Job Duties
• Develop and maintain Published Aircraft Grooming Standards for all of the companies grooming locations.
• Determine and standardize all grooming tools, equipment and products necessary to maintain those standards.
• Supervise 2-3 staff per shift while fulfilling duties of a groomer.
• Outline requirements for the groomers to ensure a productive and efficient staff.
• Ensure all aircraft that are to overnight in YVR receive highest level of grooming standards prior to release back into service.
• Organize and maintain a grooming schedule for a fleet of aircraft.
• Ensure that staff follows safety regulations in the use of equipment and supplies.
• Preparation of work and staffing schedules.
• Attend all required meetings and provide input and recommendations.
• Assists the Maintenance Control Manager with recruiting activities.
• Assists the Maintenance Control Manager with yearly performance reviews


Requirements
• Minimum of 2 years' supervisory experience preferred
• Minimum of High School Diploma
• Good communication and problem solving skills.
• Able to interpret and implement applicable laws and regulations.
• Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
• Computer literacy, MS Word, Excel and e-mail required.
• High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability.
• High level of sound and independent judgment, reasoning, and discretion.
• Hold a valid class 5 BC driver’s license.

Working Conditions
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move a minimum of 25 pounds.
• Work shifts as required
