The Vancouver Airport Authority has an opportunity
for a permanent, full-time Revenue Analyst in the Finance Department. Reporting to the Manager, Financial Services,
the successful candidate will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting,
analyzing and reporting revenues.
Key responsibilities include:

Applying
professional judgment, knowledge, and technical and analytical skills to
interpret financial data and provide insight concerning the revenues of the
diverse business units at the airport
·
Developing
and enhancing revenue forecasting models for purposes of budgeting and ongoing
management of business units; this will include compiling information from
departments, formalizing assumptions in models, inputting data into models and
providing periodic review of models to ensure consistency and accuracy
·
Performing
ad hoc financial analysis and reporting, ensuring the Authority’s revenue
recognition policies are in compliance with accounting standards for not for
profit organizations, and providing financial advice to departments, working
groups, senior management and the Board of Directors
Key qualifications include:

Bachelors
Degree in Commerce, Business Administration or equivalent; a professional
accounting designation and/or MBA is preferred
·
Well developed
analytical skills obtained through previous work experience in accounting or
finance
·
Attention
to detail with an overall understanding of the “big picture”
·
Proven ability
to take initiative and work with multiple priorities under tight deadlines
·
Diplomacy
as well as a strong customer focus and interpersonal skills in order to liaise
with other departments
·
Expert-level
knowledge of Excel, as well as working knowledge of Word
·
Knowledge
of Oracle Financials, including Discoverer, as well as Essbase, ABT and ADI
