CMA Scholarship Update from Cheryl Cahill

Now that the final marks for all courses in Term 4 have been received and being entered into the system by the Student Records Officer, I can now officially send out the request for the Expression of Interest for the Central Mountain Air Interview Award. 
 
Over the past four years, we have had several amazing winners of the Central Mountain Air Interview Award and we hope that Airline and Flight Operations Class 11 will have successful winners to add to the list!

Central Mountain will offer the recipients of the award an interview for a position in one of their bases in BC and/or Alberta as positions become available in Ground Operations, Customer Service or  Charter Operations.  Once in the position, CMA will assess fit of the individual with their in house Tier Two Pilot program.
 
If you are interested in being considered for ONE of the TWO awards this year then please submit an Expression of Interest with the following items included. 
 
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS- COPIES OF LICENSES AND TEST RESULTS MUST BE SUBMITTED AS EVIDENCE
·         Valid Commercial License (required)
·         Valid Multi Engine Instrument Rating (required)
·         Evidence that IATRA test passed (required)
·         Total Hours accumulated as per your logbook (inside and outside the program) (required)
 
PROFESSIONAL PILOT QUALITIES- YOU MUST PROVIDE EXAMPLES OF HOW YOU HAVE MET THESE REQUIREMENTS
·         Cover letter and resume (required)
·         High level of academic standing (unofficial transcript will be accepted)(required)
·         Evidence to support superior communication skills
·         Evidence to support strong leadership skills such as Class Rep or group leaders in major projects
·         Evidence to support ability to work well with others and be an effective member of a team
·         Evidence to support strong problem solving and decision making skills
·         Evidence to support you possess a positive attitude through volunteer activities both inside     and outside the aviation community
 
The successful candidate(s) will be announced at the Graduation Ceremony on Wednesday, December 18, 2013.
 
The due date for submission is Monday, December 9, 2013 at 1600 via email and/or paper submission to:  Cheryl Cahill, Chief Instructor, Aviation Operations programs.
