Position Title: Flight Dispatcher

Number of Positions: 1 three (3) month contract position
Closing Date: December 10, 2013

Duties & Responsibilities:• Pre-flight preparation
• Development, review, authorization, issue and revision of operational flight plans
• Flight following, weather and NOTAM monitoring for enroute aircraft
• Communication with Air Traffic Control
• Coordinate with various other departments

Requirements:

• Minimum of 21 year of age as per Transport Canada
• Successful completion of the Transport Canada Generic Flight Dispatch exams (Regulations and Meteorology)
• Valid Air Operator License
• Ability to communicate in a professional, clear and concise manner
• Working knowledge of general computer and software applications
• An understanding of various aviation regulatory publications (CARS, FARs AIM, CFS, RCAP, etc.) and procedures
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to prioritize and work in a high energy environment
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Minimum of two (2) years dispatch experience in a Type A environment
• Aircraft recognition and familiarization with performance
