Ottawa International Airport Authority is currently recruiting a Leasing Assistant
 
Business Development and Marketing is seeking applications for a Leasing Assistant on a term basis (approximately twelve (12) months).

The Leasing Assistant will coordinate the execution of all leases and other contractual documents for the Commercial Development team, and provide support in other related functions.
The successful candidate must have excellent customer service skills with the ability to understand and meet client needs. He/she must demonstrate superior organizational skills and attention to detail. The successful candidate must be able to deliver successful responses within established timeframes. He/she must be self motivated and flexible and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate must be able to assess and establish priorities within defined timeframes. He/she must be able to demonstrate interpersonal skills, good judgment, and discretion. These abilities, as well as a professional, positive attitude will ensure success in building positive working relationships in a team environment.

Qualifications for this position include:
  • post-secondary education with a minimum of (2) two years experience in Property and Lease Management or secondary school education with a minimum of (5) five years experience in a Property Management, Lease Management, or legal office environment;
  • Experience with commercial leases and/or commercial leasing training/education;
  • Experience in drafting legal documents and composing routine correspondence;
  • Experience in maintaining a document registry and tracking system;
  • Knowledge of general leasing principles;
  • Fully conversant with MS Office software (Outlook, Word,) as well as property management/lease database software, both for data entry and data extraction/reporting; and
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in English - bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
Candidates must be in possession of a valid driver’s licence (Class “G” or equivalent) along with a driver’s abstract (issued within the last month) and must successfully complete a security clearance check for an Airport Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC).
